Today we have the three bike version, but you can get this as a two or four bike version. Another thing I'd like to add that this is a pretty heavy carrier, close to 100 pounds, and the Cadillac doesn't have a super high tongue weight unless you have the trailering package. So the Piston SR is going to be a roof-mounted rack that also has a hitch adapter, and that's the kit that we are using with this vehicle. So because of that, we have some extra features you won't see on just the normal Kuat Piston Pro, but also, you have a humongous weight capacity of 100 pounds. So if you have an extra heavy electric bike or maybe you have an alternate frame or just a strangely shaped bicycle, this is more likely than not gonna be a very good fit for you. Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination four bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2024 Cadillac XT5. Now the Destination four is what you would consider an entry level affordable bike rack but I actually think it is still a great fit for the XT5 just because of its features, how compact, how lightweight it is, and it actually does a good job with carrying around four bikes of different shapes and sizes. So even though it's an affordable rack it's still definitely worth looking at. I would get it if I had kids bikes, medium-sized bikes, and even mountain bikes. What this cannot carry, though, are electric bikes. more

I think it's a pretty good fit. You know this is gonna be a great economical way to carry around a couple of bikes. So if you're somebody that you know goes riding occasionally maybe a handful of times a year you know, this would probably be a perfect fit for you 'cause it is lightweight, you know, it's easy to manage and put in the hitch and take out and it'll fold up. more

Yakima RidgeBack Bike Rack Review - 2023 Cadillac XT4- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima RidgeBack on the back of our 2023 Cadillac XT4. The RidgeBack is a four-bike hanging-style bike rack capable of supporting four bikes up to 40 pounds each, holding them in place primarily on the top tube by these cradles, featuring this anti-sway cradle in the back to help limit that back and forth movement, but it does make contact the frame, obviously, to hold the bike so we don't recommend using these types of frames for carbon frame bikes. And if you do have an alternative frame-style bike, you might need to get a bike adaptor bar to make that work. One of the nice features that this bike rack does offer is the ability to tilt away, but we'll have to get the biker removed to do that. Starting first with this anti-sway zip strip, you just pull 'em out, you pinch the sides on either, and you do have to soar these somewhere, but we found that this spot in the back, it's pretty useful for holding them in place while you're getting 'em off. more

Curt Premium is a hanging style bike rack that will make contact with the bike, primarily by the frame. Holding it in place by these two rotating cradles, and then one anti-sway cradle in the back. So if you do wanna use this bike rack, and you have a carbon frame bike, we definitely recommend against it 'cause it does make frame contact, and it can damage it while you're driving. But the premium does have this nice feature where it tapers down at the end so you can accommodate some kids' bikes without the need for a bike adapter bar. more

Now, the monorail is a two-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds each, held primarily in place by these wheel hooks and one strap on the back. Now, one of the nicer features that this rack does offer is that it doesn't make frame contact, so you're not gonna be worrying about damaging carbon frame bikes, if you choose to use those, while you're driving, and it accommodates alternative frame bikes as well. The rack can tilt away by using this blue lever down here at the bottom. I like to hold onto the frame while I do it, and slowly guide it down. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination, on the back of our 2023 Cadillac XT4. The Destination is a two-bike platform-style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 35 pounds each, held in place primarily on the center mast by these rotating clamps, they do rotate 360 degrees, and they're padded to support your bike as much as they can, but they do make frame contact so we definitely don't recommend using carbon frame bikes, so this can get damaged while you're driving, but the fact that they do move up and down and rotate should help support some alternative frame bikes. The rack itself does not tilt away with the bikes loaded so we do have to remove the bike to get the back open. So we can start doing that just by first releasing this strap in the back and then the strap in the front. The same way just by using these gray levers. more

So the Kuat NV is your heavy duty premium bike rack, which you would get for, if you have really nice bikes you wanna protect. If you have heavy electric bikes that need an extra weight capacity, or if you just have a strange framed bike, like a step-through bike, women's bike, children's bike, and you don't wanna get a frame adapter bar. So let's take a look at first, how it works here on our Cadillac XT4. This bike rack tilts away and to do so, you pull on this lever and then, you just drop this down to a tilt, just like that. So the Kuat Sherpa is pretty much the middle of the road bike rack. It has some pretty good premium features, but also it does have a lower weight capacity as well as a shorter wheel base making for a more affordable bike rack compared to your extra premium bike racks, like the Kuat NV. So if you're looking for something that is technically affordable, plus has some nice features that you might be interested for your bike. more

If you are looking for an electric bike rack, with a lot of weak pasty and integrated locks, this might be the option for you. So with this car you can see how even though it comes really close, this is actually a fit. The swag line current does it fit on all vehicles, but it's nice to say that it fits on this one. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer, today, on our 2011 Cadillac Escalade, we're going to be checking out the Swagman, XE2, platform-style bike rack. First impression of the rack on the back of the Escalade, really simple, you know, this is going to be able to hold down two bikes and it's to be a great kind of entry-level, economical way to carry your bikes around. So if you're someone that, you know, rides occasionally, you know, kind of on them nice days or whatever, definitely gonna get the job done. If you're someone that's out a couple times a week, every weekend, something like that, you know, there's some better options that are more well-built and everything, but, for, you know, the job that this has to do, it does really good at it. So, with that said, you know, it's going to be a really simple way. How it's going to work is it is going to have a frame hook up here. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer today on our 2011 Cadillac Escalade, we're going to be checking out the Kuat NV 2.0 platform style bike rack. So first impressions of the rack on the back of the Escalade is I think it looks really good. Actually two outs are very well-built and, you know, put together very nicely. And I feel like that's really important, especially on the back of a vehicle like the Cadillac, you know, you don't want to have a super nice truck and some flimsy cheap bike rack hanging off the back of it. But that said, one of the really neat things about this one is it's it's you kind of customize it if you will. So it's available in three different colors, so you can kind of pick which one you like the best or which one matches the Escalade. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. today on our 2011 Cadillac Escalade, we're gonna be checking out the Tooley hitching post pro. Hitch mounted bike rack. So first impressions of the rack on the back of Escalade, I think it looks good. This rack is an over the top, but isn't super boring either. Tooley makes really high quality stuff and it shows and I feel like that's really important, especially on the back of a car like the Cadillac, you don't want a cheap, poorly made rack on the back of the car. more

Hey everybody, Jerry with etrailer.com. Today, I want to look at the Kuat Sherpa, 2.0 2-bike rack system. Right off the bat, first thing I noticed is the fact that this looks pretty slick on our 2020 Escalade. It's really, really sharp, right Also, what I like is the fact that this is wheel mounted. So, we can get most of our carbon frame bikes on here, and a lot of our other bikes that max out around 40 pounds. All right, so this bike is held on this bike rack by the back strap over here, which is a normal ratchet style strap. more

Now, a few things I like about this bike rack system is it has reflective lenses on the very back of it. Which should help out a lot with vehicles knowing that, "Hey, there's something behind this vehicle as well." And it'll help them be able to figure out their proximity to the vehicle itself. more
